The Kirkland Lake Residence (KLR) is a short-term accommodation facility and does not provide permanent residence or mail services. As an optional, value-added service for guests with extended stays, KLR may accept and deliver mail and packages for an additional monthly fee.

By signing the waiver provided by KLR staff, the guest acknowledges and agrees to the following terms regarding mail and parcel handling:

1. Nature of Service
•    This service is provided solely for the convenience of guests during their short-term stay at KLR.
•    The provision of mail and package handling does not constitute permanent residency at KLR.
•    This service is considered an optional, value-added amenity and is not included as part of a room rental at KLR.

2. Service Terms
•    This service will be offered Monday to Friday during business hours only (holidays excluded).
•    A monthly fee of $10 + HST will be charged to the guest for this service.
•    KLR will accept mail and packages and deliver them to the guest’s room as they are received.
•    KLR may discontinue this service at any time with 45 days' written notice.

3. Liability Waiver
•    KLR assumes no liability for any mail or packages that are lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged while on the premises or during delivery to the guest’s room.
•    KLR is not responsible for notifying the guest of mail or package arrivals.
•    KLR will not forward, store, or hold mail or packages after the guest's check-out date. Any items received after check-out will be returned to the sender or discarded.

•    The guest waives all claims against KLR, its owners, staff, and management for any issues related to mail and package handling.
 

4. Guest Responsibility
•    The guest is responsible for providing the sender with the correct shipping address and notifying KLR staff of the approximate delivery window.
•    The guest is responsible for the collection of their own deliveries outside of business hours (Monday- Friday, 9 am – 5 pm).
•    The guest is responsible for updating their mailing address upon departure from KLR.

5. Termination of Service
•    Either party may terminate this agreement with 45 days' written notice.
•    In the event of termination, any mail or packages received after the termination date will be returned to the sender.
